Crash Sensor ACS-3
A multi-axis acceleration sensor, evaluation electronics and microcontroller are combined in one housing. This system can be mounted directly on the spindle or headstock. Mounting on the headstock is especially suitable for retrofitting.
Once activated the system monitors acceleration to various limits. If a limit is exceeded, the data logger writes this information to an alarm recorder with the date and time.
The recorder can be read out via a serial interface.

Benefits of the Crash Sensor containing Data Logger and Electrical Cabinet Module
- Prevention of damage to or destruction of expensive machine components and related machine downtime caused by collisions due to machine or programming errors
- Ensure and evidence of its type equitable use of machinery components such as spindles and bearings as well as clear identification and documentation (date, time, amplitude value) as to whether a collision event has taken place or not
- This results in the following:
- Prevention of unauthorized warranty claims
- Clear evidence for legitimate warranty claims
